Lessons learned and records broken! The team took to its 2nd live event and broke the $100,000 raised for charity barrier!

In the Kilometers 4 Kiddos’ first year, they broke records, made a name and set up a stage for success in the years to come. Between more than doubling the initial goal to setting records, the team was a force to be reckoned with. Let’s take a look back at the team’s first year.

With this being the first year for Kilometers 4 Kiddos and the first charity team event on Twitch for Zwift, the first block and start of the marathon were going to be crucial for the team to make their name.
So how do you set the stage and make sure everyone sticks around? By kicking things off with a hype introduction to the team! The community gets to learn who and what the team is about, the cause behind it and gets to feel the hype of the event.
This hype introduction would become the go-to for all years going forward, only getting more and more intense every year!
The first Kilometers 4 Kiddos marathon was 75 hours continuous content spread of over 4 days. The team took on their first ever marathon, learning all along the way.
With team members from all over the world ranging from the US and Canada to the Netherlands and New Zealand, the 2021 event was truly a worldly affair.

During the 2021 PLAY LIVE season for St. Jude fundraising, K4K stayed in the top teams overall for fundraising, going toe to toe with established teams!
In the team’s first year, they managed to raise a staggering amount. Especially considering this is a team comprised of all new fundraisers to both St. Jude and online fundraising as a whole!

With 24 unique Zwift streamers from around the world on the team, it’s not surprising that each streamer brought their own flavor to the table. Don’t believe us? Below is a little taste of 2021’s marathon. With nearly double the team members for 2022, you can imagine it’s only going to be more chaotic fun in the year to come.
