Kilometers 4 Kiddos was created by GeneralElost in 2021 as a way to bring together the community of Twitch Zwifters for one main cause. To create a central outlet in the Twitch Zwift community for charity and awareness.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is the chosen charity as they are leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening disease. They are working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of their founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood survival rate from 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to more than 80 percent today.
St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade.

Zwift is a massively multiplayer online cycling and running physical training program that enables users to interact, train and compete in a virtual world. Zwift allows players to ride their bicycles on stationary trainers or run on treadmills while navigating through virtual worlds.
Players may cycle freely around the game world and join organized group rides, races, or workouts with other users. Zwift uses ANT+ or Bluetooth Low Energy technologies to transmit data that, in combination with athlete weight and equipment choices, is used to convert the athlete’s efforts as speed and power.
Zwift blends the fun of video games with the intensity of serious training, helping you get faster. Level up in the virtual worlds of Zwift with a community that motivates you every minute. Choose from training plans, group rides, races, and more. You’ll get fitter and stronger.

Every May, a team of Zwift Streamers on Twitch will be broadcasting multiple days in a row. Each streamer will be tapping in for their own multi-hour hour block on their respective Twitch channel with the goal of raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
During their blocks, each Zwift streamer will have incentives on offer to challenge themselves, entice the audience and raise money. Each stream will be unique from the last so make sure you check out everyone’s streams to see if their content and donation incentives entice you.
The schedule of events can be found on the main page as well as the “K4K Marathon” page along with who will be streaming and where you can find their stream as well as donate.
Interested in what you see? Enjoying the thought of the chaos? Well the K4K team might be the right team for you if you’re looking to meet with a team of likeminded individuals and raise money for an amazing cause.
While we can’t guarantee a spot in the main marathon, we are always welcoming Zwift streamers to join the Kilometers 4 Kiddos fundraising team where your fundraising counts for the overall goal and you are challenged to raise as much as possible.
Also, anyone who fundraises as part of the Kilometers 4 Kiddos team will get a first chance invite to join the marathon for the next year.

There are two main ways to donate to help support Kilometers 4 Kiddos.
1.) On the front page of the website, you’ll find the schedule for each day of the marathon as well as the streamer leading each block. To the right of this will be their Tiltify link. If you click on those links, it will lead you to each team member’s individual donation page. All of the money raised by each individual goes to the overall total, but what’s a little friendly competition?

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital costs nearly $2.8 million to run on a daily basis. With that in mind, the majority of the running costs are provided by people just like you. So where does that money go? Here’s a neat little breakdown of what it costs to run different things in the hospital.

We know it can be daunting to give money over the internet and feel safe in today’s day and age but we have done the research for you to find a safe platform to donate through.
Alll of our fundraisers will be using a platform called Tiltify to facilitate donations. Tiltify works directly with the charities to ensure a seamless transition between donor and charity. What do this mean? It means that no one touches the money as it moves from you to the charity. This means that your donation reaches the charity in full, no hidden fees, no cut off the top, no one touching the money in between. You even receive a receipt that you can use for your taxes.
